Well not sure how it is in the USA but the big supermarkets in the UK defiantly abuse their position to bully farmers and even big multi nationals. Forcing then to cut costs and corners (hence the adulterated meat scandals a few years ago) and bullying them into paying for in store promotions even big companies like Heineken have been shaken down. The big 4 probably should be forced to divest themselves of their audit functions as well.
