Slack grew, because anybody from your organization could just acquire the tool. No need to talk with IT. What if same thing hapoened for office space. BYOD and support for remoting allows people to work anywhere. If marketing finds the company HQ unattractive, they could just move elsewhere. Does it actually make sense for different teams to be stuck in one location. Should they instead work close to customers or partners?
