- bogdanoff_2 7y agoHardware is so complex and there is so much variation in it that this is "obviously" not true. As a simple example, if two computers are comparable in speed but one has a bigger cpu cache or faster ram, they might run programs with low memory footprint at the same speed, but one will be much faster when running a program that uses a lot of memory.
