Obviously CV design depends on the position you apply for. If it's design, marketing or something like that, then I'd say cool design is a big plus. For a technical position it's just distracting and off-topic.
- jjeaff 7y agoI think there is some relation to caring about how things look and being a good coder. I like a well designed resume and I like beautifully written and formatted code. I've actually considered asking candidates to send me a screenshot of their IDE. Obviously not at the top of the list of most important data points, but a data point nonetheless.
