I spent about an hour trying to get Imagemagick to produce scaled images that looked as smooth as those produced by Snagit. I tried most of the options described on http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/resize/ http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/resize/ . No go. I remember twm, and I once met "t" (Tom).
