I have no idea what the real MAU numbers of actual people are but I would think it's maybe a quarter (5%) of the population. There are so many bots on twitter along with company accounts, meme accounts, IFTT automation, etc. that I can't imagine it's 20% of the US using twitter each month.
- bryanlarsen 7y agoIf you count the number of people indirectly reading twitter through other media the number is much higher than 20%. And it's not just media directly quoting and crediting twitter; I imagine journalists get a very high percentage of their leads and sources through twitter.
