Is it really worth our time to be debating the semantics and connotation of the word "upper"? That's essentially what this post is.
- FabHK 7y agoExactly. The substantive contribution is to peg a number to the top income decile. It doesn't matter what you call it (and the study itself is careful about that, distinguishing Oberschicht from top income decile).
- dgellow 7y agoI submitted the article because I found the provided data interesting, I didn’t expect the discussion to focus on the definition of “upper class”... I just translated the original title, that was maybe a mistake
