Another kind of good tech debt I was hoping to see here is when something is built somewhat poorly/quickly because it will give you information that you need to have in order to know whether it's worth building it any better.
- notabee 7y agoPrototypes are very valuable as long as you know to throw them away and build the real thing. The unfortunate aspect of many business environments is that low knowledge outsiders see something "working" and demand that it be thrown into production for [insert business speak reasons]. Tech debt isn't always a decision made by the subject matter experts.
