Is there a reason that companies don't just use discord?
- bob1029 7y agoIs there an enterprise hosting option? Any open source options? If no, and no, there is your quick answer. Also, the target user base and UX of the application make it unsuitable for a wide range of business cases. I think something like Discord for Business could be an amazing opportunity for growth. This isn't the first time I've seen someone bring up the idea.
- dagw 7y agoDoes it self host? Does it integrate with AD for authorization and authentication? What tools does it have to ensure GDPR compliance? Is it easy to centrally manage and for IT to set limitations for which users can do what?
- the_angry_angel 7y agoOff the top of my head; * No Active Directory/SAML/other SSO. * Gaudy/gamer orientated look-and-feel, messages and notifications is hard to sell to business. * No/Poor implementations of "Enterprise Features" (read: eDiscovery, DLP, etc.) Of those the first and second are arguably the most important as it is often a requirement for businesses of any size. The third is a bit more larger/enterprise-y business.
