I'd never heard of it, but I've just signed up for one via iTunes U. These look awesome. It will be interesting to see where the world of education goes in the next decade. Personally I'm looking for resources for younger children (5-15) for my own children
- highfreq 16y agoKahn Academy, also available on I-Tunes U, has some great material for younger learners.
- docgnome 16y agoThis is one of the only things that really annoys me about these courses, is that they are often only available via iTunes U. I don't have, nor do I want, iTunes. I shouldn't have to fire up a VM to access "open" content. I deal with it but it bugs the crap out of me.
- highfreq 16y agoActually, I believe all OCW courses are available via YouTube, or for download at http://ocw.mit.edu http://ocw.mit.edu as MP4. Stanford's SEE course are available via YouTube, download, and bittorent. I like watching them on my iPad off the grid. So having them in iTune-U is nice.
- docgnome 16y agoCool. There are other Uni's that do not provide other options however.
- inovica 16y agoThis is available outside of iTunes on YouTube (I think). I understand your reasoning, but as I do have iTunes it makes a very nice, seamless way of subscribing to their content, which can then be shared across my various devices (iphone / iPad etc). I even have a projector in my lounge attached to a Mac Mini that I've started using for this rather than just for movies
- glen 16y agoYou can also find them here: http://nixty.com/courses/directory?category=0&school=1&tags= http://nixty.com/courses/directory?category=0&school=1&#...
- gaganbiyani 16y agoAll of the OCW courses are available on Udemy: http://www.udemy.com/courses/Academics.html http://www.udemy.com/courses/Academics.html. (Disclosure: I am the co-founder of Udemy) If I'm not wrong, we have the largest library of OCW courses on the internet (equivalent to YouTube's).
