I mostly agree with your post. I did think he pointed out two legitimate issues with Ubuntu right now though: 1. panel stuff jumping around when the screen size changes (I think progress has been made here in GNOME recently). 2. flakey suspend. I run Ubuntu on all my computers. It works perfect on my HP 550 laptop, and my desktop. On my netbook and other laptops, it has issues.
