Are you implying that white collar workers don't (usually) vote in favor of their own interests also? I would certainly argue that they do. Now it perhaps could be argued that white collar workers may take a longer term view when deciding what is in their best interest in comparison to a blue collar worker, but I would argue that those behaviors are in line with how rich/poor people make decisions based on financial pressures.
