How about speaking of oneself in the third person to others? Does this make one seem wiser? Or perhaps arrogant.
- dwd 7y agoGenerally pretentious or simply weird; but manipulative and psychopathic when it appears you're trying to come across as an impartial observer when talking yourself up.
- taneq 7y agoI actually misread the title to be this, and thought of all the Yoda-esque 'wise people' who do this in popular media. I think the actual post is much more interesting, though.
