- ggm 7y agoGiven how Dutch and Frisian and German relate to english, puzzling that double Dutch means incomprehensible, since for any sailor on the north sea coast and many Scots Dutch was a trading and neighbouring economy. Pantiles on roofs in Scotland came over as ballast trading sea coal to the Netherlands.
