I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of my system and that's with good availability of software packages but relatively little Power-specific optimizations. As these start getting added, I expect it to get even better. As it is I don't distinguish much, if any, performance delta between this and a conventional x86_64 workstation and it has been my daily driver almost since the day it arrived.
