The culture is locked in by hundreds of years of history, and a vast, vast majority of people like it the way it is. Staying in the UK for me is like staying in an abusive relationship or a job you hate. It made me deeply unhappy, so instead of complaining and bringing my friends down I found a life to love overseas.
