- Fnoord 7y agoIt would be even better if cryptocurrency community didn't hijack the term cryptography (which even overlaps theirs).
- travisjungroth 7y agoToo late.
- ghostpepper 7y agoYou mean "hijack the term crypto" right? I think cryptography still means the same thing in the cryptocurrency community.
- Fnoord 7y agoYes, merci, point taken.
- irjustin 7y agoNot sure why you're downvoted. I read it the title and immediately thought there was a blockchain involved.
- flixic 7y agoDownvotes are probably stemming from general hatred of cryptocurrencies. After all they “stole” the word crypto in mainstream media, just like criminals “stole” the word hacker long time ago.
- lkbm 7y agoThe front page says "...test their passion for cryptography. Each task will be based on a particular cryptographic primitive or it will include a direct application of cryptography in other fields."
