A founder of a “customer experience” service cold-messaged me once. I came in to see more about what they were doing, and they interviewed me a bit. As far as I could gather they provided a script to their customers that added event listeners to everything on the DOM and sent it to their servers. As far as I can tell, they were going fast and loose. They weren’t interested in me, but I must say I wasn’t interested in them either.
