This does not match my experience. I have worked in law for 20 years and hired (and fired) many lawyers for top tier companies. I saw some variant of an IQ tests for every one of them. As general rule they were not impressive and significantly below the scores we saw for programmers. The verbal comprehension was generally solid or better, the others not so much.
