Ask HN: Repurposing a Windows 10 Tablet to provide internet to the home

I have a spare Lenovo Thinkpad 10 tablet running Windows 10, with a 3G/4G sim slot. I also have an Asus RT-AC1200 Dual band Wireless Router. What I want to do is put a sim card (from my mobile provider, which I already have) into the Thinkpad, and share that connection over my Asus Router to my home. Are there any preferable techniques to achieving this over others, and what are the main problems this could cause both now and down the line?
