I don't really agree here. Solving a problem has never been justification for a solution that brings even more. For example, an totalitarian dictatorship would solve a ton of problems with the US political system today. But that doesn't make it an acceptable solution. When your solution brings more harm than it resolves, it's better not to have it in the first place.
