Try telling that to the US military. Or cops.
And it if you step back a bit you'll see that it is _obvious_(!) that the person you are replying to is exactly NOT saying that it is permissible to massacre Jews. S/he is pointing out that "obviousness" is an ill-defined criterion which can let any old genocidal predjudice slip through.

- simonh 7y agoWe’re taking about rules fir governing a society. The military is for dealing with threats from outside a society, so it’s not relevant. Cops in the US do not have impunity. They may sometimes get away with too much, but they can and do go to jail for murder. There have been a few cases I could name off the top of my head in the last few years, but I’m sure many more are findable with little effort.
- icebraining 7y agoA few cases over years? US cops kill over 1000 people every year (https://killedbypolice.net/ https://killedbypolice.net/), so a few prosecutions is more like bad luck than real punishment.
