- autisticmind 7y agoGood article, thank you. Gives hope for change in this sector. As an adult there are not realy many options to get a good help from any proffesionals. Doctors sometimes dont understand, that some people dont abuse drugs. They take them to manage their dayly life. Not because they are addicted. Its because their brain and their impulsive thoughts and reactions, can be better handled. And they dont have these disorders because they are on cold turkey. Im not sure if autism can be healed. Its not like beeing sick. Its more like beeing,.. sometimes a little different in a special way. And people with asperger are not always conform with the enviromental they live in. Asperger and ADHD togheter is no fun and can realy be hard. When you grow up and face these problems, without knowing whats wrong with you.
