All TVs are capable of displaying 50Hz European content natively. Converting 24fps to that is trivial - play it at 25fps(not noticeable) and every frame twice.

Newer TVs are starting to support Dynamic refresh rate, ostensibly for gaming modes. I wonder if this tech becomes mainstream, it will eventually start to be used for normal content.
