IIRC 8" drives held only 1kb (yes, only 1024 bytes!) so I doubt they'd be of much use, even in the earliest days of Linux.

The formatted diskette for this system stored 242,944 bytes
- rbanffy 7y agoI remember 1 megabyte floppies on some CP/M boxes. They seemed surreally large back then.
