While the humanities departments decry the evils of colonialism, admissions departments never met a rich foreigner they didn't like. Same dynamic for Hollywood. I guess they are all being somewhat consistent here, since it probably doesn't count as colonialism-proper when the indigenous peoples happen to be Anglo.
