Something i hadn’t considered before i started working with a historian friend is the duty we have as developper to provide searchable, durable, standard content for future generation. it is very likely the wide majority of today’s content won’t be searchable by historians 200 years from now, because of all the walls we put, of all types (sign up only content, native apps, disappearing companies trashing their database, etc.).
