I always have a ton of problems getting C binaries building. Java and JS are generally super easy. Python and Ruby somewhere in the middle. Kinda a proxy for cross platform compatibility I guess. Some projects now just build in their own docker container. I hope this becomes more common, it's always a single click build no matter how many crazy dependencies you need installed.
