The cryptographic protocols of 1.3 could be said to be largely unrelated to 1.2. If you wanted to learn in layers then Noise is a lot closer to 1.3 than 1.2.

- wbond 7y agoI'm not particularly interested in the cryptography specifically, but rather the network protocol, in order to be able to obtain information about the connection.
