Do any ISPs still offer shell accounts?
- dredmorbius 7y agoHere's one that does ;-) https://www.sonic.com/shell-access https://www.sonic.com/shell-access
- proverbialbunny 7y agoDoes anyone have experience with the usenet access it says it provides? I can't find any information on google.
- chipotle_coyote 7y agoWhen I last tried a few years ago, I could just point a news reader at news.sonic.net and it worked. I can't test it now because I'm no longer a Sonic customer. (I love many things about them, but where I live in Santa Clara, they could never offer any service faster than DSL, and I finally gave in and switched to Comcast.)
- Fnoord 7y agoXs4all in The Netherlands does, but they are a daughter of KPN since 1997 and now in 2019 KPN wants to merge all their brands to KPN. So that ship might sail soon...
