I have no idea why you're being downvoted for this. I like your idea about a golang backend. In fact, the entire application can be packaged within a single golang binary which provides simple distribution and only requires the user have a modern browser installed on their computer. .NET Core recently added self-contained executable support so there are more options available today than just golang.
