This has always irritated me. If someone wants to go running or walking through a park at night, let them.
- jotm 7y agoSo, what's defined as "at night"? I used to go for a run at 11pm, or 3am, because I could not sleep and there are no people, it's nice...
- okmokmz 7y agoLocally, a lot of the public parks are closed to the public from dusk to dawn or sunset to sunrise
- Nasrudith 7y agoIt is a stupid cheap halfway enforcement because of parks at night being a good place for vice activities which leave unsavory evidence later (used syringes, condoms, booze bottles). I know because that was a shift taken after a few incidents of prostitution at night and unsavory hazardous litter prompted the change. The alternatives are obvious (open but larger patrols at night to make it unsuitable) but that is more expensive for what is a fringe activity.
