So when they say "[...] this radioactive decay only lasted for the first 70 million years of the solar system", when is the start of the solar system calculated from?

- yummybear 7y agoThis might be a lack of understanding, but aren't the radioactive elements created in the supernova preceding solar ignition. If so, isn't there a period between element creation and solar system formation? How does this factor in to the decay calculation.
