How are we getting past the NYT PayWall now?
- yonaguska 7y agodisabling JS seems to work.
- kencausey 7y agoYes, I use uMatrix to block everything but HTML (I enable other features site by site) and with nothing but HTML Reader mode in Firefox appears to give me the full article content.
- taesu 7y agoI guess outline.com doesn't work ? damn these paywalls
- jakewins 7y agoWe need to re-learn to pay for journalism. Well funded independent journalists is critical to a working society. If you can afford it, please consider taking the paywall as a cue to consider getting a subscription.
- whenchamenia 7y agoNyt needs to show a bit better restraint before I can consider funding them for 'good journalism'. I can and do subscribe to/fund what I find to be reliably good journalism.
- owlninja 7y agoSubscription is on sale for $1 a week
- danso 7y agoIf you're on desktop, isn't it trivial enough to remove/reset cookies from the nytimes.com domain?

- appleshore 7y agoIf you paste the link into archive.is, it’ll often be already archived or it will save a fresh copy. I would encourage people — if they can afford it — to pay for a few media sites online.
- kevincrane 7y agoThis has worked pretty well for getting me past the paywall: https://www.nytimes.com/subscription https://www.nytimes.com/subscription
