Media already profits off these disasters. Why shouldn't the victims themselves?
Ideally no one should be doing this, but if interviews are going to be given anyway, they might as well use an easy app and receive compensation.
- fzeroracer 7y agoBecause it's really absurdly tone deaf to promote your app using a very recent shooting as promotional material.
- crooked-v 7y agoA victim of that event with a mercenary-enough state of mind to do that could get money without losing a cut by just calling up any local news station.
- RcouF1uZ4gsC 7y agoAgree completely. The media exploit the suffering of people to make money. Why should people give away their experiences for free for the media to draw views and advertising dollars? This is actually more ethical than what the media does.
