I am neither in sodtware tech industry nor ever been to bay area ( I'm an indian). From my anecdotal data, I definitely see that most of my friends have either deleted their account or check their accounts may be once in a month. On the other hand, my wife and my mother regularly check facebook (although they post very rarely). In my experience, the use of FB is definitely falling amongst 'educated' people, although the story is not same with other demographies. But overall people are definitely getting fed up with FB.
