The bankers often pay for the country to be rebuilt collecting interest on those loans for tens of years. US often further expects the bombed country to pay for the war, US did so in the first Gulf War via the UN and again in the second. US business often invades the country and helps develop it after the country has been destroyed, I mean freed. It's a win-win for many different sides. The question is can the vanquished actually fit the bill for your conquest, and often the answer is yes at least partially.
For instance see here: https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1050401/trump-news-iraq-war-iraq-prime-minister-pentagon-donald-trump-latest https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1050401/trump-news-iraq...
Trump wants Iraq to pay for the American war with Iraqi oil.
War is creative destruction in which the existing order is replaced by the order of someone else... who often benefits from the establishment of the order in terms of many new markets being created, often belonging to the winning side... and many other existing markets belonging to other people being destroyed.
- coretx 7y agoGermany payed of it's ww2 debt not that many years ago. If it wasn't for the US pooring dollars into it first, it could have taken a much longer time to happen. However, at for example the Balkans it was private individuals such as Cheney buying steel/coal factories. That's a private investment. But the political link is clear.
