After the community push back in 2015, this is no longer true. Most of the software is being open sourced, and the data from the BigBrain project is already open and will complement similar sized data from Allen Institute and the HCP.
I work for a work package leader for the next round of funding, and the European Commission seems to be demanding a Apollo level focus nowadays.
- dmix 7y agoHow can they get Apollo level focus if they can’t get early NASAs complete buy in from academic and private industry (across multiple nato countries). It seems it’s having trouble even getting credibility with in neuroscience. Which is absolutely necessary if you want the level of talent that Apollo required.
