UIs are similar to APIs in that respect; if you can provide features that are really simple and fast and composable, users can be incredibly creative about finding new ways to plug them together. We too often worry about ticking off a checklist of use cases, and not enough about providing a flexible toolkit that can handle unanticipated use cases.
