Feature complete is a BS term for self driving. Being able to, for example, make a turn on red light, while cool, is far far away from being able to make a red turn reliably in all situations.
It’s like someone claiming they are feature complete to be a composer, because they finished learning music notes.
- jsight 7y agoFeature complete is a necessary but not sufficient precondition for self-driving. Tesla does not claim to have achieved this precondition.
- justapassenger 7y agoThey talk about 1M robotaxis by the end of 2020, and being feature complete by the end of 2019. Tesla is either lying or has no idea how complex FSD is.
