When I was a kid my mother gave us kids a tick check every evening when we came inside and tossed our clothes in the washing machine. Every kid's mom's did that around here. If you spent the night at a friends you'd be getting tick checked :D When we got to be around 10 years old we had to do the checks ourselves, so it's really a habit now.
