Ill-defined and/or poorly understood diseases like this are a magnet for cranks and grifters, from "Lyme-literate" doctors who don't take insurance and prescribe muscle relaxants and antibiotics until you run out of money or ignorant bloggers hawking fake science. There's a lot of noise re "Chronic Lyme", whatever that might be. That being said, ~something~ is going on. My wife tested positive for Lyme, went on a round of antibiotics, and the symptoms didn't go away. She continues to suffer fatigue and chronic pain.
