I use their macOS application instead, and make sure not to type anything sensitive. Not as easy as using their browser extension, but it is safer. Been trying Language Tool as well: https://languagetool.org/ https://languagetool.org/ Not nearly as good as Grammarly, though, but it works with more languages and even has a plugin for vim.
