Good that git is a distributed VCS. At least our master branch history is available on our local PCs, and we can freely work. Yupi.

- mielecmichal 7y agoJava and JavaScript programmers have solved it years ago. Maven Central and npm do the job :)
- pmelendez 7y agoDo you do PRs? or have CI/CD pipelines hooked with GitHub?
- wongarsu 7y agonot being able to submit or review PRs for a day is much less impact than not being able to checkout for a day.
- pmelendez 7y agoI guess it depends on the definition of done of each team. We normally can't complete tasks until they are code reviewed, so checking out locally would be the analogous of working offline in a CVCS
- viraptor 7y agoYou can finish the first task as much as you can, then start on the next one...
- u801e 7y agoThe CI/CD pipeline could also be done with a post-receive hook on another remote.
