Don't mistake that for race conditions! Just the other day I was working on a browser extension and saw some things not getting triggered sometimes, but since it's a single threaded event driven code in a single content script it can't really have race conditions, everything is deterministic, and it took only five minutes and couple of console.log()s to figure out what the problem was.
