Ask HN: labeling: positions and applicants, or jobs and candidates?

Not sure if this is appropriate for HN (it's more of an information architecture labeling user-research question), but here goes. I'm doing an app that helps you to hire people. Should I call jobs "positions"? Or just jobs? Or something else. Should I call candidates "applicants"? Or candidates? Or something else? ps: it helps if you mention whether you hire people or not.
