Awesome comment! Especially as it relates to VMs in modern cloud environments. There really is no need for swap space, and letting them fail quickly is usually best.
Using swap space may make sense for a traditional physical, stand-alone server, where having it fail quickly doesn't really help. Or maybe for a workstation.
