I came to this country in part because I was offered a very good salary by my employer, that allows me a very comfy life in San Francisco. They would be cheaper off with a local worker, that would be available for immediate hire, and wouldn’t need an expensive and quite long visa processing. Alas they found none, and not for lack of trying.
