As a Canadian, I take exception with the claim that "If multiracial democracy cannot be defended in America, it will not be defended elsewhere." Even our most conservative governments won't stray anywhere close to the level Trump has in the degeneration of multiculturalism. We've got a hell of a long ways to go with our treatment of our First Nations brothers and sisters, but come on. Don't pretend like America is the last defender of multiracial democracy, because it damn well is not.
