I take your point in principle (founders ought to be committed to their company), but I also see the other argument not to put all your eggs in one basket, so to speak. Of course, I certainly wouldn't put money into a company the founder of which does not believe it will succeed and profit.
- underwater 7y agoI can understand not wanting a founder to protect their nest egg and play it safe. But at 700M the founder, his children and his children's children can live a life of luxury and will never need to work again. That seems like it's a little beyond hedging the normal startup risks.
